HomeWini Smart and her family have been spending summers in Maine since the 1960s. She opened the Smart Studio in Northeast Harbor in 1967. "There is such an abundance of subjects on the coast of Maine; the variety of weather and seasons, and the dramatic changes of the tides add drama to a scene. I love the wealth of wildflowers that edge the shoreline, the colors of bold granite headlands and dark spruce that lend contrasts. Acadia National Park enables us to experience so much of the natural state," explains the artist. All this has been captured by this prolific artist, in watercolor and oil paintings.
